Taungoo University (TU) is a public university located near Nyaunggaine village in Taungoo, Bago East Region in Myanmar. TU is five miles away from west Taungoo and 258.85 acres in areas. TU was founded on 4th April 1998 and was officially inaugurated on 24th June 2000. There are 262 academic staff and 235 support staff under the management of the Rector and Pro-Rectors.
